ABOUT THE FOUNDER

Ginger Aldridge, MA, LPC, LCAS
I hold a Masters in Counseling from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. I am currently board certified as a North Carolina Licensed Professional Counselor under the requirements specified by the North Carolina Board of Licensed Professional Counselors. I am concurrently registered with the North Carolina Substance Abuse Professional Practice Board (NCSAPPB) and a Licensed Clinical Addiction Specialist, LCAS.
My private practice is geared towards helping others overcome anxiety, grief, mood disorders and other emotional traumas. I am located in the South Park area of Charlotte, NC.
I began Alliance in October of 2013 after spending the previous five years as an Intensive Outpatient Therapist within the Behavioral Health division of Carolinas Healthcare System. During this time, I worked extensively with men and their families treating the many challenges of early recovery from substance abuse.
During this time, what I began to see was an opportunity to increase success rates in recovery by providing long term support to those with the chronic diagnosis of addiction. This long term care model also works with individuals who have difficulty in managing the ongoing stressors of life. This may include adjusting to college, business or career transition, or adapting and adjusting to any difficult change or unresolved trauma.
Professional Alliances with
Psychiatrist & Medical Practioners
Since mental health solutions sometimes include the utilization of medications, your doctor, psychiatrist or other professional may become part of our treatment team. This is done with your informed consent and allows us to help monitor and work with you and your doctor, monitoring medications currently prescribed or discussions of possible medical interventions.
Alliances with Other
Treatment Providers
I strive to link my patients and clients to the best treatment providers throughout the country. Specialists are often necessary to formulate a long term strategy for managing emotional regulation. Allow me to help you to evaluate the best resources available specific to your situation.
There are a myriad of ongoing social challenges and underlying psyhological issues that are problematic to attaining a balanced life. My goal is to provide the missing link in the process to manage chemical dependence, and other treatable emotional challenges such as anxiety or depression throughout the lifespan and help others (including the family system) no longer be alone, shunned, or lost in finding solutions that work!
My history also includes an 18-year career working with leadership in the corporate world in need of problem identification and strategic repositioning. I was formerly a professional branding expert helping corporations decode internal barriers and perceptions through the use of architecture, marketing and communication design. A typical client goal was to identify, clarify and direct change both internally to their employees and externally to their targeted audience. This strategic approach to maximize and improve performance through
perception works. With the additional education and training, I now work directly with the indivdual and help them reach desired goals and levels of performance. You too, can learn new proven behavioral and cognitive skills that work throughout the lifespan. Combining these strengths as a creative problem solver along with the clinical skills of CBT (cognitive behavioral therapy), I strive to bring results and meaningfulness to personal growth.
